In-house drawings

Services
Since 2015 Murphy Prime has prefabricated, or has had in production, more than 40,000 off-site MEP modules. Every drawing is produced in-house by a dedicated prefabrication design team. Each module is generated in Revit MEP and coordinated in full with the shop-drawing model from the central engineering group.
The shift started as a way to stop historical overspend on material and labour. It changed how the business installs work. Fabrication drawings are released to prefabrication partners. Finished modules are delivered and installed by a crew trained for that work. On site, every module is set out with 3D digital mapping, using points taken from the coordinated BIM model.
Measured against conventional installation of the same services, productivity records show roughly 40 to 60 percent fewer man-hours. On data centre projects, about 70 percent of first- and second-fix distribution is prefabricated, which is what makes the early handovers possible.
No module is released until it matches the coordinated model.
The crew that receives the module is trained to set it, not to rebuild it.
Hanger and plant points come from the model through a robotic station.
Historical rates: 40–60 percent less installation time than stick-build.
